A BECE timetable needs to fit around a full school day, homework and rest. Start with the time you actually have on a normal week, then choose short revision tasks for those slots.
List every subject you're actually examined on
Write down the subjects your school has registered you for. Current BECE school-candidate papers include Science and Computing; older papers may use different names. Confirm your list with your school and WAEC's official timetable before planning coverage.
Group subjects by how they're best revised

A weekly structure built for a full school day
- Monday–Friday, evenings: two focused 30–45 minute sessions after homework, each on a different subject. Rotate through your full list across the week rather than repeating the same two or three subjects.
- Pick the topic before you sit down. "Study Maths" is vague. "Do 15 past-question problems on fractions" is a session you can actually finish and check.
- Saturday: your longest session of the week — a timed past paper for one subject, ideally rotating which subject gets this slot week to week.
- Sunday: lighter — review what went wrong in Saturday's paper, plus a quick recall session (flashcards) on one or two recall-based subjects.
Rotate subjects across the week instead of blocking them
Revisit a subject in more than one session when you can. For example, work through a Science question early in the week and recall the main idea again at the weekend. See How to Remember What You Study for more review methods.
Continuous assessment doesn't stop because you made a timetable
Keep class tests, homework and school assessment deadlines on the same calendar as revision. Ask your school how the current assessment requirements apply to you.
Adjust it — don't abandon it
If a subject keeps getting skipped, change its slot or make the task smaller. A ten-minute check of one idea can be easier to begin than an evening labelled with a whole subject.
