Start with the learning problem
You can spend an evening rereading a whole subject and still feel unsure which questions you could answer alone. WASSCE preparation becomes more manageable when each session has a narrow target and a way to check understanding.
The West African Senior School Certificate Examination is a senior secondary examination administered by WAEC. This guide is for Ghanaian SHS learners building a revision routine around the subjects and syllabus their school uses. How to get started
Choose one topic
Use your school’s syllabus checklist to pick a small topic, rather than “finish Mathematics”. Select your exam board and subject in Novari where available.
Practise without the notes
Generate a short quiz or work through a paper you are permitted to upload. Attempt the questions before opening explanations.
Plan the return visit
Record what went wrong: recall, interpretation or working. Revisit that skill in your next study session.
Try this approach
An evening with three useful tasks
Start with five questions on fractions. Check the first incorrect step in each missed answer. Finish with two new examples, then put a short review into tomorrow’s plan.
Make the session useful
Keep the four core subjects visible
Balance English Language, Core Mathematics, Integrated Science and Social Studies alongside your electives. Ask your school which syllabus and assessment requirements apply to your cohort.
Separate practice from prediction
A generated question tests a skill; it does not predict an upcoming WAEC paper. Use official information for registration, timetables and examination rules.
